New independent provider to administer exams to real estate learners in Ontario

In preparation for this expansion of education providers, RECO has engaged Meazure Learning, a leading independent examination provider, to deliver standardized exams for learners seeking to register as real estate agents in Ontario. Beginning in mid-2025, Meazure Learning will administer all real estate exams, ensuring a consistent, rigorous evaluation process regardless of where a learner completes their coursework.

Selected through a competitive procurement process, Meazure Learning brings extensive experience, with remote proctoring services and over 1,500 test centres across 115 countries. This appointment reflects RECO’s commitment to excellence in exam infrastructure, security, administration, and delivery.

More choices are coming to Ontario real estate education this summer

One of RECO’s key responsibilities is setting education requirements for real estate agents and brokers in Ontario. Until now, a single provider has been authorized to deliver real estate education for individuals pursuing a career as an agent or broker in the province. However, in March 2025, RECO introduced the multiple-provider education model by authorizing four post-secondary institutions to deliver its real estate education programs across Ontario. These institutions will begin accepting new learners in the summer of 2025.

Algonquin College, Career College Group, Humber Polytechnic, and Sir Sandford Fleming College of Applied Arts and Technology (Fleming College) are the four institutions authorized to provide real estate education, alongside Meazure Learning’s independent exam administration. These changes will enable RECO to uphold stringent educational standards while offering learners greater choices and access to diverse education providers in Ontario.
