RECO Announces Executive Leadership Updates

RECO has announced updates to its Executive Leadership Team as part of the organization's ongoing operational transformation and its preparation for the return to Board-led governance. 

Effective immediately, the following leadership structure is in place: 

  • Terence Chan joins the organization as Chief Financial Officer. Terence brings more than 30 years of public and private sector financial leadership experience to the role. 

  • Shafat Alam has been appointed to Acting Chief Data, Technology and Innovation Officer. 

Terence and Shafat join Samantha Pinto, Chief Regulatory Modernization Officer, and Emilee Escobar, Chief Strategy and Corporate Officer, to form RECO’s Executive Leadership Team. 

RECO acknowledges and thanks these leaders for their continued commitment to the organization. These updates ensure RECO possesses the aligned leadership structure necessary to deliver effectively on its consumer protection mandate as a modern regulator.
