RECO takes additional regulatory action against two brokerages, MEhome Realty (Ontario) Inc. and 5I5J Realty Inc.

Today, the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) has taken additional regulatory action to protect consumers and uphold the public interest against the two affiliated brokerages, MEhome Realty (Ontario) Inc. and 5I5J Realty Inc. and the former broker of record of MEhome Realty (Ontario) Inc. This is in addition to the Freeze Orders RECO issued against the two brokerages on March 17, 2026.

Following a recent inspection, RECO has issued immediate suspension orders against the brokerages, and is seeking to revoke the brokerage registrations and to refuse the individual’s registration listed below. RECO has also contacted the York Regional Police regarding its findings.

As Ontario’s real estate services regulator, RECO’s mandate is to protect consumers by ensuring real estate agents and brokerages comply with the law. These actions are being taken to safeguard the public and maintain trust in Ontario’s real estate services sector, and RECO will not tolerate misconduct, particularly the misuse of trust accounts. RECO is actively engaged in this matter and will update the public if further regulatory action is taken.
